THE HISTORY OF ST ABBS LIFEBOAT EXHIBITION

To celebrate the arrival of the new independent lifeboat we have put together a small history of the lifeboat in St Abbs.  The first boat,  Helen Smitton, arrived in 1911 and there has been a lifeboat here until September last year (when the RNLI removed their boat). Our new lifeboat, Thomas Tunnock, has now arrived and will be on  duty soon.  Our exhibition tells you about them and the other boats that have served St Abbs.
